Top Ten Tuesday: Book Series in Red, White, or Blue

With Fourth of July tomorrow, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Books with Red, White, & Blue Covers. This was actually a lot harder to find them I originally thought because there aren’t that many books with all three colors on the cover. But there are a ton of book series and trilogies that had both blue and red books or they use the red, white, and blue color scheme throughout.

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Renegades trilogy by Marissa Meyer

Storm Siren trilogy by Mary Weber

Inkworld trilogy by Cornelia Funke

The Books of Mortals by Ted Dekker and Tosca Lee

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness

I’m sure there are plenty of other series that follow a similar pattern of red and blue books (and for some reason the third book seems to be green for a lot of trilogies), but these are just a few of what I own or have read that do so.

What colors seem popular in series you’ve read? Don’t forget to join the link-up!

  1. I actually never noticed that some series had red and blue covers but now that I think about it a lot do. I’ve only read The Hunger Games out of these series but I have started The Raven Cycle and The Lunar Chronicles but I have yet to finish them.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

    • I didn’t notice so many books used those colors too, and I’ve already thought of several more series that do since writing this post. It’s kind of crazy! 🙂

      Happy reading!

    • Right? I didn’t either until I started compiling a list and noticed the trend. It’s kind of crazy but also makes sense since blue and red are popular colors. 🙂

    • Yeah, I was having a hard time finding enough books that incorporated all three colors (unless I started splitting series into individual books like Renegades or the Raven Cycle). That’s why I thought of the series!

🙂 I think I own a lot of blue books too. Not enough green or yellow, though.
