Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I Hope to Meet Someday

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Authors I’d Love to Meet. I’ve had the privilege to meet two of my favorite authors, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. There are many authors I would love to meet. Here are ten.

“Uncle” Rick Riordan wrote one of my favorite series ever, and his books have taught me a lot about mythology. I really just want to thank him for everything he’s done for me and the rest of the kids in the world.

Maggie Stiefvater is just cool. She may not admit it, but she is. Plus, she wrote The Scorpio Races, one of my favorite books ever. I just want to hear her speak about books or her life or anything really.

Lisa T. Bergren was one of the first authors I interacted with on the Internet, after falling in love with her books. She’s such a great author, and I hope I get to meet her someday and finally give her a much deserved hug.

Mary Weber is an amazing person. I can’t even explain how freaking exciting it would be to meet her and just bask in her awesomeness.

Kristin Ciccarelli wrote one of the best dragon books I’ve ever read. I just want to thank her for the beautiful story and encourage her to keep writing more.

Emily Bain Murphy has only one book out, but it’s one of my favorites. Meeting her would be such a joy, and I’d probably cry.

Sabaa Tahir is an amazing story-teller, so like with Maggie Stiefvater, I just want to sit in a room and listen to all her wisdom and writing advice.

Ashley Poston is so fun! Geekerella is one of my (only) favorite contemporaries, and it definitely shows that she knows the fangirl life. Any author signing with her would be a blast. Plus, her reactions to seeing her books in stores is basically how I will react someday when I get published. It’s hilarious!

Kayla Olson wrote a fantastic dystopian novel and continually makes my Instagram feed fun and gorgeous. I’d love to meet her and thank her for all the encouraging posts as well as good books!

Laini Taylor is one of the best YA fantasy authors ever, and I think being in the same room as her would be enough for me.
