This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019. Earlier, I listed my most anticipated releases for the first half of the year, going through June 2019 releases. Here are ten books coming out between July and December that I’m excited to read!
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim: I don’t know much about this book, but that cover has me sold and I need more East Asian-inspired stories in my life.
Loki: Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee: I don’t know if I trust YA authors to write novels about superheroes about the DC Icons series was somewhat of a letdown. But this is Mackenzi Lee writing about Loki and I just… need this book.
There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool: Did you see this cover? DID YOU? Because that’s all I need. Give it to me now!
Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett: I’ve read a few of Jenn Bennett’s contemporaries and she’s a great writer, so I’m intrigued to read a historical fantasy story by her. Especially because it’s described as The Last Magician meets The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue.
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo: I’m worried about this book. Leigh has warned readers this is an adult fantasy and it’s dark. But I want to give it a try and I’m excited to see Leigh branch out into something new!
The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys: I will read anything Ruta Sepetys writes. Her historical fiction is fantastic, and I’m stoked for this book.
Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater: I have a love-hate relationship with The Raven Cycle, so while I’m excited about a new story, I’m also a bit wary.
Supernova by Marissa Meyer: I really wanted this book to be called Anarchists, but I’ll take anything with that badass cover design and Marissa Meyer’s name. I’m excited to see how this trilogy wraps up.
Coral by Sara Ella: I’m a sucker for fairy tale retellings, so reading a Little Mermaid retelling that deals with mental illness sounds so interesting. Plus, that cover is all sorts of adorable.
The Sky Weaver by Kristen Ciccarelli: I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book for years even though I didn’t know it existed until about a year ago. I will read anything Kristen Ciccarelli throws at me, and I cannot wait to return to this world and these characters.
What new releases are you looking forward to reading? Don’t forget to join the link-up!
Great list! Ninth House and The Lady Rogue made my list this week, too, and I really want to give Ruta Sepetys a try. ๐

You should! Ruta’s books are amazing. I’d recommend starting with Between Shades of Gray (Ashes into Snow) or Salt to the Sea.
Thank you ๐

Yes, it does. I haven’t read a book by Sara Ella, so I’m excited to see what this one holds.

I cannot wait for Spin the Dawn. I am not a huge fan of Leigh Bardugo but I am excited about her Ninth House. The synopsis really drew me in and I want to give her a chance to see if I will like her adult book compared to her YA counterparts.

I’m interested in seeing how she does with an adult fantasy as well! ๐
