A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read
This could be a long list of books, but several friends have told me I need to read Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch. I’ve read the first book, The Lies of Locke Lamora, but have yet to pick up the sequel. I might need to reread the first again, though.
A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t read it
Again, this could be an entire list of books, but I’m going to go with C.S. Lewis’s Space Trilogy. I’ve read the first one a while ago and received a three-in-one volume of the whole thing, but I haven’t read it. I’ve been told the second book is amazing.
A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten around to finishing
Yet another prompt where I could list several books and series. I’m back and forth about continuing the Ender’s Saga beyond Ender’s Game, but I do want to read the other books after Howl’s Moving Castle.
A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but have never actually read
The only reason I haven’t read The Count of Monte Cristo yet is the page length, but after watching the movie, I really want to pick this up when I have time to take it slow and enjoy it.
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas may be my forever answer for this. I’m just back and forth on whether I care enough to read it. But I also want to read it to say I did, you know?
A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but just haven’t picked up yet
This was a hard one to find an answer for because I usually try to read the book first, or at least soon after watching a film adaptation. But one I haven’t gotten into is Sherlock Holmes. I (mostly) love Sherlock and the Robert Downey Jr. adaptations, but I’ve only read a couple actual stories here and there. The stories are very dry British writing so it was hard for me to pay attention. I’d like to try them again sometime, especially since I own a volume collection.
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet
So many books! One I’d like to read soon is Scythe by Neal Shusterman. I’ve seen a lot of people post about it, especially with the recent book release.
Tagging
I’m not going to tag 10 people because I don’t think I actually follow enough people to do that, so if you’re reading this consider yourself tagged, along with…
- Jameson @ Lovely Whatsoevers
- Alex @ The Paperback Piano
- Melanie @ TBR and Beyond
- Anouk @ Time for Tales and Tea
Let me know if you do it! I’d love to read your answers.
Glad to hear you had fun doing this tag! 😀
And ooooh, Howl’s Moving Castle– I’m in the same boat! I read the first book back in November, and I really wanna continue on with the companion books! Why is it so easy to start series but sooo hard to finish them??
Hope you’re able to pick up some of these books soon! Happy reading!

I don’t know, but I have the same problem. So many series I’ve started and never finished. *facepalm*
