This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Questions I Would Ask My Favorite Authors. I couldn’t think of anything for this, even though I’m sure I have thousands of questions I could ask all of my favorite authors. So instead, I’m doing another alphabetical post.
- Credit Alex for the idea, and link back
- Post at your own pace, do as many or as few letters as you want
- Post your favourite authors, books and characters (ABCs) for a particular letter of the alphabet
The letter U is hard. I struggled to even find books or authors I’ve read that start with the letter U, much less one that are my favorite. I’m also really bad when it comes to remembering character names unless they’re super specific or well-known, so I fudged that answer a little. Oh well.
Ngozi Ukazu: I’ve only read a graphic novel series by her, but it’s about a hockey player who likes to bake and it’s adorable.
Ursula K. Le Guin: For some reason, I’ve only read one book by Le Guin also, and it was a long time ago. I remember enjoying A Wizard of Earthsea, though, and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future!
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld: Does anybody else remember when these were the books to read? The dystopian series that was huge before The Hunger Games was even published. I loved it. I should reread them.
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl by Ryan North and Eric Henderson: Okay, but who doesn’t love the idea of a female superhero who has a connection to squirrels? It’s incredible, actually.
Mr. Underhill from The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien: So this is a stretch since technically this is a fake name, but I’m counting it because it’s too good.
