This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Books I Want to Read Again. I reread books all the time. Probably about at third of the books I’ve read this year have been rereads. This was an easy list to make and I plan to reread some of these very soon
Beverly Cleary books: I reread all of the Ramona Quimby series this fall, and it awakened such nostalgia in me that I want to continue to reread more Beverly Cleary books, starting with the Henry Huggins series.
Fireborne by Rosaria Munda: Immediately upon finishing this book, I wanted to pick it up and reread it. Instead, I decided to wait until closer to the release of the sequel to reread it.
DragonKeeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul: I started rereading this series earlier this year, but I haven’t finished rereading all of them so I’d like to do that sooner rather than later. I even found cheap copies of them so I could reread them whenever I wanted!
The Door Within series by Wayne Thomas Batson: A lot of the books I reread are old favorites from my childhood. I’d love to reread this series to see how I like it now that I’m an adult.
The Circle series by Ted Dekker: It’s been a long time since I read a Ted Dekker book. I don’t know if I’m interested in much of his new stuff, but I want to reread The Circle books at some point.
Library War: Love & War series by Kirro Yumi: I think about rereading this manga often and I just need to do it already because I love it so much.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusack: I talk about rereading this book all the time, but I have yet to actually make myself do it. I’m just not ready for the emotions tied to this story.
The Starless Sea by Erin Morganstern: I read this when it came out in 2019, but I feel like I missed so much of. Like there was too much contained within to understand everything. Someday I’d like to reread it just to see if it’s better than I originally thought or what I can pick up on a second read through.
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien: I always want to reread these books and rewatch the movies. It’s been a little while since I read them last, so I should read them again soon.
Upcoming sequels: For some series, I like to reread the previous books before the next book comes out, so I’m looking forward to rereading a few titles this coming year in anticipation of the next release in the series. Some of them include: King of Scars, Wicked Saints and Ruthless Gods, The Last Magician and The Devil’s Thief, and The Aurora Cycle.
There are so many things I want to reread but I’m always torn between all the that and all things I haven’t read for the first time yet. lol

I feel this way too! But there are some stories I just have to reread so I usually stagger those between new books XD

The Ramona books were some of my favorite childhood reads. I should definitely re-read them as an adult just for the nostalgia factory. Thanks for the suggestion!
Happy TTT!

I want to re-read The Starless Sea, too. It felt like a really dense book. And Mr. Wyrm and I just re-watched the LOTR movies, so I’m feeling like it’s time for a re-read of those books, too. 🙂

The Starless Sea was pretty dense and I feel like I missed so much because I was distracted by the pretty writing XD
And yesss! Every time I rewatch the LOTR movies, I want to reread the books. But I usually just watch the movies again XD

Agreed to both! With LOTR, even though there are some changes they made I disagree with, I feel like the movies were good enough adaptations that I usually don’t re-read the books either.

I don’t reread very often and never for sequels really. I should, though. I can never remember where things left off. I usually have to go back and read detailed reviews with spoilers. LOL

Hahaha! That’s exactly why I make myself reread the series I’m most excited for because I never remember anything. But I suppose finding a detailed review with spoilers would be much faster!

It’s been so long since I’ve read The Lord of the Rings that it would be like the first time, not counting the movies. 🙂

Beverly Cleary is such a brilliant author. I love that you’re going through her backlist!
