This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is a Holiday/Seasonal Freebie so I thought I’d highlight a few books that feature snow on the cover in some way. I love winter and the way snow looks covering everything from buildings to trees to the ground, so covers with snow are always so pretty to me.
Not If I Save You First by Ally Carter

This cover is the reason I decided to share books with snow because I really like this cover.
Cold Day in the Sun by Sara Biren

I need more books about hockey.
Dead Voices by Katherine Arden

I didn’t know it was possible to write a spooky story during winter until I read this book.
Seasons of the Storm by Elle Cosimano

I love the details of this cover and how it fades from the golden spring flowers to the frosty winter.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

This list would be incomplete without this cover.
Anna and the Swallow Man by Gavriel Savit

This book absolutely wrecked me and this cover is just so perfect for the tone and heartbreak of this book.
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

There is so much symbolism in this dang cover. I can’t.
The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder

I love this entire series, but this book in particulate fascinated me. I cannot believe people lived through something so crazy, but it happened. People are so resilient and determined. It’s amazing.
The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan

I remember the first time I saw this cover. I just stopped and stared at it because I was thinking, “Percy, what are you doing?!” Ahhhh!
The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket

These covers are so iconic for me. But man, this one with poor Sunny all by herself on top of that mountain… my heart.
Great list!

I had that Between Shades of Gray cover on my list this week too (such a brilliant book as well)! Son of Neptune has a super striking cover (I love that book). That The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe cover is lovely too.

It is stunning! Pretty much the reason I decided to read the book in the first place 🙂

It doesn’t snow in Arizona where I’ve lived for most of my adult life, but I still love it! I remember lots of happy snow days as a kid, so it’s definitely nostalgic for me. I love all these snowy covers that you chose. Lovely!
Happy TTT!

They are so great! I can’t wait for the next one. I, in turn, need to read her adult series. 🙂

Did you read her other book, too? It was also good. If you liked Cold Day in the Sun and haven’t read Julie Cross’ Juniper Falls series yet, I would highly recommend that series to you.

I did read her other book, but I didn’t like it as much as Cold Day in the Sun.
I’ll have to check out the Juniper Falls books, though. Thanks for the recommendation! 🙂
