This week’s Top Ten Tuesday Prompt is Books On My Spring 2021 TBR. I tell myself not to make TBR lists and yet I still do because I like making lists. Here are some of the books I hope to read in the next couple of months.
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas: I’m more than halfway through this by reading just a chapter a day. I hope to finish by the end of April!
ARCs: I have several ARCs through NetGalley to read this spring: The Flipside of Perfect by Liz Reinhardt, Aru Shah and the City of Gold by Roshani Chokshi, The Last Fallen Star by Graci Kim, From Little Tokyo, With Love by Sarah Kuhn, and D-39: A Robodog’s Journey by Irene Latham.
New books: There are lots of new books coming out in the next couple of months that I’m really excited to read. Some include: Flamefall by Rosaria Munda, Bone Crier’s Dawn by Kathryn Purdie, Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo, Blessed Monsters by Emily A. Duncan, and The Serpent’s Curse by Lisa Maxwell.
Book club books: I have a couple books I’ll need to read for the book clubs I’m in. These include: This Splintered Silence by Kayla Olson and Beyond the Bright Sea by Lauren Wolk. There might be another book or two, but we haven’t picked them yet.
Rereads: In preparation for all the new books coming out, there are a lot I want to reread. I don’t know how many of these I’ll actually get to and I might have to hold off on a few of the new books until I do, but I want to reread King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo and the Something Dark and Holy books by Emily A. Duncan.
TBR books: I still have so many books I own to read! I want to get through half this year, and I’ve been really bad at keeping up my goal of reading 2-3 each month. Ahhh!
Audiobooks: I continue to listen to audiobooks on my commute to work. I’m listening through the Grishaverse books at the moment to catch up before Rule of Wolves, but I’ll probably listen to a few Star Wars or Odyssey Award books after I finish.
Library Wars by Kiiro Yumi: I started rereading Library Wars: Love & War manga in February so I’m going to continue that until I finish it again. I can’t handle these two!
I like making lists too, but I don’t really mind if I don’t stick to them.

Exactly! It’s fun just to make the list. 🙂

I read Count a couple of years ago and it was worth the effort to read the unabridged version. I hope you’re enjoying it!

I am for the most part. It’s less exciting than I expected (so much talking!!) but I’m determined to get through it anyways!

I really think the best thing about TTTs is that it is an excuse for me to make lists. 😉 I love lists, too. (Though I do also love the community that surrounds TTT.) Happy reading! I’m looking forward to more Sarah Kuhn books, too.

Yes, I agree! Sometimes I wonder if I should keep doing these posts, but they’re fun! And yes to more Sarah Kuhn! 🙂

I rarely actually read all the books on my seasonal TBR lists, but I still enjoy making them. It’s fun to think about what I *could* read, even if I don’t get around to them. I hope you love all your picks!
Happy TTT!
