This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Books with Nature on the Cover. As I searched through my favorite covers shelf on Goodreads, I started noticing that there are a lot of YA books with birds on the cover or in the title. So since this prompt is about any type of nature (plants, animals, landscapes, etc.), I decided that would be my focus for this week. So here are ten books and/or series with birds on the covers.
Six of Crows / Crooked Kingdom / King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman

The Storm Crow / The Crow Rider by Kalyn Josephson

The Merciful Crow / The Faithless Hawk by Margaret Owen

The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan

Crown of Feathers / Heart of Flames / Wings of Shadow by Nicki Pau Preto

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater

Among the Beasts and Briars by Ashley Poston

Ah, love the bird theme you went for here! Some gorgeous covers! I loved the Raven Cycle and the Six of Crows series.
Thanks for sharing! 🪶

I noticed a year or so ago how many books featured birds either in the books or on the cover. There are so many more than I expected, but I really like them. 🙂

It’s also neat how varied they are! It’s not always the same kind of bird or the same kind of pose.

I love the bird theme. Are you also a birdwatcher?

Thanks! I am not a birdwatcher. I’m not sure I’d ever be interested in that as a hobby.

Great choices! The Grisha books made my TTT, too. I love that the nature on their covers is full of Easter eggs for the books!

Birds really are popular on book covers, aren’t they? And it’s interesting how they can be used to evoke different moods and vibes. Great picks!
Happy TTT!

It is SO interesting how they can vary so much yet still all include birds. I had no idea it was so popular until I looked at my shelf and went, “Huh.”
Thank you! 🙂
