This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Most Anticipated Books of the Second Half of 2021. For some reason, I don’t have nearly as many releases marked for the second half of the year as I do the first. I don’t know if it’s just that titles haven’t been announced or crossed my radar yet or what, but here are ten I can’t wait to read!
Wings of Shadow by Nicki Pau Preto: I’m so excited for the end of this trilogy about phoenix riders. It’s going to go out with a bang, I can tell. I’m rereading the first two books now in preparation.
Suns Will Rise by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell: Again, another trilogy is ending this year and I’m stoked! The futuristic French revolution is going to be great.
Dark Waters by Katherine Arden: It seems like I’ve been waiting so much longer for this book than I think, but I love this middle grade series. I’m really curious to see how Arden makes spring spooky.
A Clash of Steel by C.B. Lee / So Many Beginnings by Bethany C. Morrow: These reimagined classics sound so interesting. I hope they live up to the hype because those covers are *chef’s kiss*
The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes: I liked The Inheritance Games, though it wasn’t as mystery-oriented as I would like, so I’m curious how much more in depth this sequel will go.
Little Thieves by Margaret Owen: I need more books by Margaret Owen ASAP.
Gilded by Marissa Meyer: Basically, I will read anything Marissa Meyer writes. But this one intrigues. That cover.
Girls of Fate and Fury by Natasha Ngan: Another trilogy I’ve been waiting ages to finish.
Aurora’s End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff: I don’t even know what happened in the last book, but I’m so glad Fin is on this cover. Look at my boy!
You’ll be the Death of Me by Karen M. McManus: I’m always down for a mystery from McManus.
Great list! I really need to give Katherine Arden’s MG books a try.

I am so looking forward to Dark Waters! It sounds so creepy-good. And I’m looking forward to A Clash of Steel, too, but I might have forgotten to add it to my list. So many books… π
