This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Books on My Fall 2021 To-read List. Since the end of the year is upon us and I haven’t hit some of my goals yet, my TBR list for the fall will reflect that along with new books. Here’s what I’m hoping to read.
New releases: So many new books are coming this fall! I feel like there are always a ton at the beginning of the year and the end and not as many in between, but maybe that’s just where my interests lie. Some of the ones I’m looking forward to include: Gilded by Marissa Meyer, Girls of Fate and Fury by Natasha Ngan, Aurora’s End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, You’ll Be the Death of Me by Karen M. McManus, and Of Fire and Ash by Gillian Bronte Adams.
Books for Review: I’ve got several NetGalley ARCs to read. Despite my hopes in requesting less this year, I keep requesting. Ha. But I’ve found I don’t mind having a few around to read as ebooks when I need them. I want to do a better job of reading them sooner rather than later, though. Some of the ones I’ve been approved to read include: You’ve Reached Sam by Dustin Thao, Grimrose Girls by Laura Pohl, The Bone Wars by Erin Evan, and Edgewood by Kristen Ciccarelli.
Book Club books: I’m still in three book clubs, so I always have books to read for those. Most of these are rereads, though. Some of the upcoming titles include: Dread Nation by Justina Ireland, Among the Beasts and Briars by Ashley Poston, Chasing Starlight by Teri Bailey Black, Luck of the Titanic by Stacey Lee, and Fawkes by Nadine Brandes.
TBR books: just trying to get through half of my TBR, so I still need to read about 25 books to reach that goal. I’m not sure I’ll make it, but I want to get as close as I can.
Audiobooks: My goal to listen to a certain point in Star Wars books was waylaid by joining a long waitlist for one of the titles. So I’m hoping to listen to those Star Wars books by the end of the year, to make progress on the Odyssey Award list, and to also listen to more non-fiction audiobooks!
As always, I probably won’t get to all of these, which is why I don’t have a set TBR list for the entire season. I’ll probably also end up reading random titles as well that catch my attention. But either way, it looks like I have a few months of good reading ahead of me!
Rumpelstiltskin is my favourite fairy tale, so I might have to give Gilded a try!

I’ve got way too many NetGalley books to deal with now, so I’m trying to hold off on requesting until I’ve caught up on most of them. 😭

I’m a bit apprehensive about reading Bridge of Clay as I’ve heard mixed opinions so far. Happy reading! https://readwithstefani.com/five-fantasy-sci-fi-books-on-my-autumn-tbr/

I completely understand! I’m not sure about it either, but I figure I should read one of his books other than The Book Thief at some point! Thanks for the heads up 🙂

LUCK OF THE TITANIC is a fun one. I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to, but I still enjoyed it. Lee’s a great writer!
Happy TTT!
