This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is a freebie. Since I took a break in March, I missed the Spring TBR prompt. I thought I would share that today. As always, I list more books than I probably will read and I don’t always know which ones I’ll get to or feel like reading at the moment. These are just ones I hope to read.
New books: There are always so many books coming out each month. Here are a few I’m making a priority to read once they’re released: Aru Shah and the Nectar of Immortality, Queen’s Hope, Bravely, The Patron Thief of Bread, and Places We’ve Never Been.
Book Club books: I’m in three book clubs so I always have books I have to read. Some of the titles for the next few months include: The Language of Ghosts, Sanctuary,
TBR books: I’m working through my physical TBR books this year, hoping to read as many as I can. I’ve read 14 so far, which is just under 5 per month. I think that’s pretty good. Some of the titles I hope to read include: Dividing Eden and Eden Conquered, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (translated by Tolkien), and the Out of Time series by Nadine Brandes.
Audiobooks: I decided pretty early on in January to listen to the Redwall series instead of reading them. I’m also working my way through the Artemis Fowl series as well as more Star Wars audiobooks. I’d like to listen to the rest of the Odyssey Award audiobooks this year, too.
Beverly Cleary books: I reread the Ramona Quimby books a couple years ago, and this year, I decided to reread and finish the rest of Beverly Cleary books. I finished the Henry Huggins series and am reading through The Mouse and Motorcycle books!
Night Owl Book Club list: I wrote a book where the main character is part of an online book club called the Night Owl Book Club. I thought it would be fun to reread the book club titles while I prepare the manuscript for querying. The titles include: Because of Winn-Dixie, A Wrinkle in Time, The Hobbit, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Little Prince, Bridge to Terabithia, Peter Pan, and Anne of Green Gables.
Beverly Cleary wrote so many wonderful books. May you enjoy reading them and everything else on your list.

That’s a great list! I remember loving the Mouse and the Motorcycle books, though I haven’t revisited them in a while. And I’m really looking forward to The Patron Thief of Bread!

I love Ralph and all his adventures! So fun.
And I hope Patron Thief of Bread is good. It looks like it should be 🙂

I’m intrigued by the book your querying if that’s the list of books that’s influenced it. Good luck! I’m querying myself and finding all the rejections rather brutal.

Some of them probably influenced the book in some ways, but not all of them. It’s really just my way of sharing good books I love with other readers. Like a curated list of books people should read!

I bet listening to the Star Wars books is better than reading them, honestly. And you can’t lose with Beverly Cleary.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.. Thank you!

Star Wars audiobooks are a lot of fun. The narrators are so great at all the voices and there is sometimes music and sound effects!
