This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Book Covers That Feel Like Summer. This is a pretty self-explanatory and easy prompt. I probably could have thought up something more clever to go along with it, but it’s summer, so I’m lazy. Here are ten book covers that remind me of summer.
The Summer We Forgot by Caroline George
This one has more to do with the fact that “summer” is in the title than the actual cover. But that friendship bracelet brings back all the summer camp memories.
Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman
“Summer” being in the title of this one also paired with the waves definitely works.
Small Favors by Erin A. Craig
It’s kind of funny that this book makes me think of summer since summer is only one part of the story. But the bees and flowers really make me feel that summer atmosphere
Race to the Bottom of the Sea by Lindsay Eager
I mean, this cover has aquatic creatures plus pirates so it definitely screams summer.
Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer
The beach town setting, the summer romance side plot, the saving the sea creatures vibe. The perfect summer book. It’s also funny that a teen was describing this book to me but couldn’t remember the title and she called it the “ocean book.” So yeah, fits perfectly.
This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills
All the ocean-y paint splashes really make me think of summer.
I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
Would the sun make you think of any other season?
Most of Jenn’s books are set in summer, but these two in particular really give me the summer vibes.
Christy Miller Series by Robin Jones Gunn
I know that not all of these books take place in the summer or at the beach, but I still think of the beach and summer whenever I see these covers.
Even though Kasie West’s books aren’t all set during summer either, they always make me think of summer. But some of her covers have more summer vibes than others.
