This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Most Recent Additions to My Book Collection. This prompt is pretty self-explanatory. Here are the ten most recent books I’ve added to my collection.
The Fall of Númenor by J.R.R. Tolkien, edited by Brian Sibley: My husband got me Tolkien’s latest book for Christmas, which is pretty cool. The cover and art are amazing.
The Shattered City by Lisa Maxwell: This is a long-awaited release that I pre-ordered ages ago. It’s finally here!
Saint by Adrienne Young: I knew when this book was announced that I would pre-order it despite not yet owning the other books in the Fable series. It’s even more gorgeous
[if you get books for Christmas, you could combine the library discards into one spot]
Salvation by Caryn Lix: Whenever the teen librarian at work weeds, I always get first pick through the Friends of the Library to buy discarded books. I was able to acquire 5 at the beginning of December. Salvation completes my Sanctuary trilogy collection!
I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak: This is another book I got through the library discards. I should have read this book a while ago, but it seems like I take my time with Zusak’s books.
Sisters of Shadow and Light by Sara B. Larson: I attempted to read this once and never got past the first chapter. I figured since it only costs 50 cents, I might as well try it again. I’ll be able to take as long as I need now that I own it.
Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger: I wanted to read this when it first came out, but it was one those books I never got around to reading. Now I can.
Set Fire to the Gods by Sarah Raasch: I now have two Sarah Raasch books to read, this and Snow Like Ashes.
The Luminaries by Susan Dennard: I received this in the November Owlcrate box. The edition is stunning with an exclusive cover, stained pages, artwork on the end pages, a foil stamp on the hardcover, and art on the inside of the dust jacket. It’s also signed.
Demon in the Wood by Leigh Bardugo and Dani Pendergast: When it comes to anything Grishaverse, you can bet I’ll eventually own a copy. This one came a bit late because the bookstore I ordered it from missed that it was supposed to be shipped. But they took care of it and now I’ve added it to my Leigh Bardugo shelf!
Someone else mentioned The Fall of Numenor this week as well. I hope you like that book!

Demon In The Wood was on my list this week too! The Luminaries sadly isn’t out in the UK till January which is a shame as I’ve been really feeling like reading it as I’ve been following along with Susan Dennard’s Sooz Your Own Adventure story on Twitter these past couple of months.

Yay for Demon in the Woods! And hopefully you won’t have to wait too long to read it. It’s going to the end of my TBR list because I heard there’s a sequel and I want to wait until the whole series is out to get started. 🙂

I think it’s meant to come out here towards the end of January, so not too long to wait now!
