Top Ten Tuesday: Books by My Favorite Authors that I Need to Read Soon

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Books By My Favorite Authors That I Still Haven’t Read. Where do I begin? Ha. I have a tendency to find a favorite author and then either procrastinate on reading them or forget they have other books than the one I happened to fall in love. Here are ten I should read soon.

The Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater: I recently obtained the entire  series through my local library bookstore, but I haven’t even glanced at them to read. (I’ve ever let someone else borrow them first!) I hope to read them this fall, though. It’s about time for Maggie Stiefvater to ruin my life again.

Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch: After reading The Lies of Locke Lamora, I immediately purchased copies of it and Red Seas Under Red Skies. But I haven’t read Red Seas Under Red Skies. I’ve been dragging my feet because of the page number count and because once I read it, I’ll have to wait for the next books in the series.

Tolkien books: There are so many Tolkien books I have yet to read. Whether they are part of the Middle-earth universe or something he translated, I have plenty of Tolkien material to choose between. (Yet I find myself rereading The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings instead…)

C.S. Lewis books: I own quite a few C.S. Lewis books that I haven’t read, and I’d like to get to all of his someday.

Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell: After reading The Last Magician last year, I basically vowed I’d read whatever Lisa Maxwell writes. I trust her, even with beloved stories at Peter Pan. But I haven’t read her retelling Unhooked yet. Soon, I tell myself. Soon.

Captives by Jill Williamson: I honestly don’t know how long I’ve owned this book and a few of Jill Williamson’s other books, but I should probably read them soon, right?

The Rose Society and The Midnight Star by Marie Lu: I love Marie Lu’s books, but I never read past the first book in The Young Elites trilogy. And honestly, I hardly remember the first book. I think I should reread The Young Elites and then finally read the other books in the trilogy.

The Dragon King series by Stephen R. Lawhead: I loved Lawhead’s Robin Hood retelling, Hood, so I was pumped to read some of his other books. Despite owning the entire trilogy and hearing good things about it, I have yet to touch his Dragon King series and a few of his other books.

Speaker for the Dead and Ender’s Shadow by Orson Scott Card: Ender’s Game is one of my favorite science-fiction books ever, but I never read any more in the series or the spin-off series. I should remedy that soon.

Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin: Wolf by Wolf has been on my TBR list longer than Invictus, but I read Invictus and loved it and told myself I needed to read Wolf by Wolf soon. It’s been almost a year and I haven’t considered reading it yet, but I definitely want to.
